This year we celebrated 25 years of styling

This year we celebrated 25 years of styling and, in order to celebrate, Sophie decided to organise a Hair and Fashion show in aid of the Rowans Hospice.

After a lot of organising and preparation we were finally ready and the event took place at Barton Hall, Horndean on the 14th September. The clothes, which were provided by Jazz Fashions, were all modelled by staff members, customers, friends and their children; amongst them were Anna, our senior Stylist, Jenny Redman who is the Quality Manager at the Rowans and three generations from one family, June, Tanya and her daughter Ellie-May. Despite their pre show nerves the models all performed brilliantly.

The Salon stylists dressed the hair for each outfit beginning with daytime styles and transforming them into evening looks showing lots of variety and innovative colour techniques. The clothes were all available to purchase on the night and in addition to the fashion show itself there were many stalls selling handbags, shoes, jewellery, facials and crafts by local businesses.

We also had entertainment provided by sister-singing trio ‘The Sorelle Girls’ who appeared on the X Factor earlier this year. The evening ended with a raffle which was supported very generously by local companies and Jenny Redman gave a short speech explaining what the Rowans work entails and thanking everyone for their support of the event.

We managed to raise £1,220 through sales of tickets, clothes and the raffle and it was all worth the hard work and effort that everyone put in to make it such an enjoyable evening for such a good cause.

Photos of the evening are available to view in the sidebar and also HERE. Anna’s’ husband, Malcolm Taylor was responsible for the photography and can be contacted by email taylor141@hotmail.co.uk for any of your forthcoming occasions or events.
